Pioneered by the French physician Dr.Michel Pistor in 1952, Mesotherapy is a blanket term for treatment that involves multiple microinjections, in theory, delivering active, therapeutic ingredients directly into the skin. In the 1950’s mesotherapy was a medical technique to first treat blood circulatory problems, sports injuries and medical conditions such as rheumatism. Mesotherapy today is popular in cosmetic practice for skin rejuvenation, hair regrowth and localised fat reduction.
Microneedling is a technique that improves skin appearance, texture and overall quality. Using tiny needles to prick the skin it opens channels in the dermal layer. This leads to high production of collagen and elastin helping to introduce active ingredients.
T NeopenOSKANI DERMAPEN is a microneedling device that has been hailed as the gold standard of micro needling technology. TKN Dermapen is covered with tiny, shallow needles to poke micro injuries in the skin surface. These injuries are actually therapeutic, since they cause a micro injury that prompts skin to stimulate the skin’s natural ability to heal itself increasing the production of new collagen. Collagen forms strong, insoluble fibers that serve as connective tissue between cells. This device is automatic and provides a high-speed vibrating function to increase the efficacy of the treatment quickly and to reduce pain and discomfort for patients. TKN Dermapen device uses sterile, individually-sealed, disposable needle cartridges for optimal patient safety and comfort. Every TKN Dermapen needle tip is actually made of up of 12 smaller adjustable length needles, which use a specific technology to penetrate vertically into the skin. These micro holes caused by the device allow skin to carry more topical nutrients. Thus allowing penetration deep into the dermis fibroblasts and feeding the cells in the dermis and basal layers. This increases the absorption of active ingredients into the skin, stimulating repair at a cellular level and accelerating the regeneration of the skin’s epidermal cells.
Mesotherapy is a skin rejuvenation treatment that delivers various nourishing substances into the layers of the skin where cell repair and growth occurs. There are numerous types of vitamins, amino-acids, minerals, hyaluronic acids, all essential components for healthy skin cells, that can be delivered by mesotherapy. Mesotherapy involves either multiple injections, or multiple needle punctures where topical serums have been applied to the skin.
Usually treating the face, scalp and body:
Local anaesthetic cream may be applied prior to treatment to numb the skin, this need not be a painful treatment but some of the ingredients may sting or burn.
The skin may have pin prick marks & tiny blebs/bumps at the injection site dependent on the device and or product used to administer the product. There may be some redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising which should settle within days. Makeup should not be worn for 12 hours. Results will not be immediate, but will develop over time and a course of treatment will be required as advised by your clinician.
Treatment is not recommended if you are suffering from any skin infection in or near the treatment area or are unwell in any way (even a cold)
If you have previously experienced allergic reactions to any of the ingredients or local anaesthetic
If you are taking any medicines which affect bleeding, such as aspirin or warfarin
If you are taking steroids or have autoimmune disease
If you have any bleeding disorders
If you suffer from a poorly controlled medical condition
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are currently or have recently completed a course of Roacutane (Isotretinoin acne treatment) in the last 18 months
If you have active acne
If you have a previously been treated with a permanent injectable implant
If you have suffered from keloid scars
Scleroderma
Epilepsy
Injections on the face can trigger the cold sore virus. If you are a sufferer, you must advise your clinician in advance of treatment. If you are planning to attend a special event when a bruise, should it occur, would be unacceptable to you. Some over the counter medicines and supplements can also affect bleeding (make you more prone to bruising) as can alcohol- which should be avoided the day before and after treatment. Vigorous exercise, sun exposure, sun beds, sauna should be avoided for 48 hours, or as advised by your clinician, after treatment. If, having had treatment, you are at all concerned about symptoms you were not expecting or not happy with, please contact the practitioner for advice. If necessary an appointment will be made for you to be seen.
Do NOT consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising).
Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible for a period of 2 weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore or blemish on the area.
If you have a history of cold sores please let your provider know.
During each session, you may or may not have numbing medicine applied to your skin. You’ll get a series of injections using a needle. The injections can be given at different depths — from 1 to 4 millimetres into your skin — depending on what condition you’re having treated. Your practitioner may place the needle into your skin at an angle, or flick their wrist very quickly while injecting. Each injection may only place a tiny drop of the solution into your skin. You’ll probably need several mesotherapy sessions to get the desired effect. You should expect to return to the clinic between 3 to 15 times. At first, you’ll get the injections every 7 to 10 days. If your skin starts to improve, the treatments will be stretched out to once every two weeks or once a month.
Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area. Unless instructed by the practitioner
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours
Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling
If you have swelling you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour
Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling
Use Arnica Gel to help the bruising and swelling
Use SPF 50
Use mineral make-up products
Carboxytherapy involves the injection of medical grade carbon dioxide gas into the skin. It can be performed on any area of the body and is ideally suited to the treatment of stretch marks, cellulite, local fat deposits, wrinkle reduction and treatment of dark circles under the eyes.
Carbon dioxide, a colourless, odourless gas is injected into the skin and diffuses. As a result, the body, in attempting to correct the imbalance of oxygen/carbon dioxide levels, increases the blood flow, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the area, important growth factors are released to improve collagen. It improves skin elasticity, circulation and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, aids collagen repair, and destroys localised fatty deposits.
Studies have indicated Carboxytherapy improves:
When carboxytherapy is used to treat stretch marks and scars, it's relatively painless. This is because scar tissue doesn't have nerves. You may feel an itching sensation as the stretch marks are distended during the procedure. The itchiness should resolve in about five minutes.
Results are delivered over time- usually between 4-10 treatments 1-2 weeks apart depending on the indication and desired outcome. Once achieved results may be long term or maintenance treatments will be recommended. Depending on the treatment indication and lifestyle factors.
Immediately after treatment, there may be some skin redness and swelling, with some tenderness which is expected usually settles over a period of days. There may be bruising, depending on the area treated.
Treatment is not recommended if you are suffering from any skin infection in or near the treatment area or are unwell in any way (even a cold)

This technique is used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin. Chemical peels are intended to remove the outermost layers of the skin. A chemical peel is solution applied to the face and body to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells.
AHAs promote exfoliation of the upper most layer of the skin allowing healthier cells to the top and improving the texture and feel of the skin.
Salicylic Acid promotes exfoliation, unclogs blocked pores by breaking down oils, is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory so is particularly appropriate for acne prone skin. Also suitable for back and chest.
TCA, depending on the concentration, penetrates through the top five layers of the epidermis to the upper most layer of the dermis. Unlike superficial peels, you will find your skin becomes dry and tight, it may darken before peeling. The peeling usually begins on day 3 and continues for 2 or 3 days. Suitable for other areas of the body and for darker skin types.
· Dull, tired looking skin
· Pigmentation
· Oily or dry skin conditions
· Fine lines and wrinkles
· Acne prone skin
· Open pores
· Scarring, stretch marks
You may experience a little tingling, tightness, or a change in temperature. Your esthetician will continuously ask questions to make sure no sensation is too extreme. While you shouldn't feel pain during or after the procedure, you may experience slightly increased sensitivity after.
Superficial peels - you may be pink, this will settle within hours. Your skin may become a little dry and tight, but you may not be aware of any obvious peeling.
Medium depth peels - you may be pink, your skin will feel tight and dry, it may darken in patches prior to peeling, much like a sunburn peel. The peeling usually begins on day 3 or 4 and may last for 3 or 4 days.
It is very important not to pick off peeling skin; peeling is minimal and easily controlled with moisturizer. Premature peeling of the skin will result in dry, cracked, raw skin that may develop into hyperpigmentation.
Dermal fillers are a multi-functioning treatment and can be used to reduce deep lines and wrinkles, fill hollows and smooth the contours, as well as adding or restoring volume to areas of the face such as lips or cheeks. Dermal fillers are based on hyaluronic acid which is a substance that naturally exists in your body. A product of non-animal origin and fully resorbable that integrates perfectly into the skin.
· Acne scars
· Deep smile lines which run from the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth
· Smokers lines which are vertical lines on the top lip
· Marionette lines at the corner of the mouth
· Worry lines which run across the forehead
· The definition of the lip border
· Lip volume
· Other facial lines
· Hands rejuvenation
· Hydration and skin revitalisation
Dermal filler treatments are generally not painful, although the amount of discomfort you experience may vary depending on the area. Treatments around the lip and nose area are typically the most uncomfortable but this can still be tolerated well though topically applied anaesthetic cream.
In order to maximize your comfort during the procedure, a topical anesthetic may be applied. In some cases, a local numbing medication will be injected into or around the area(s) to be treated.
They fill lines and wrinkles and add volume to areas such as your lips or cheeks. Fillers are not permanent. How long they last depends on things like the type of filler and where it's injected. They usually last between 6 and 18 months.
Treatment is not recommended if you are suffering from any skin infection in or near the
treatment area or are unwell in any way (even a cold).
If you have previously experienced allergic reactions to any of the ingredients or local anaesthetic
If you are taking any medicines which affect bleeding, such as aspirin or warfarin. If you are taking steroids or have autoimmune disease.
If you have any bleeding disorders.
If you suffer from a poorly controlled medical condition
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are currently or have recently completed a course of Roacutane (Isotretinoin acne
treatment) in the last 18 months.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
If you have active acne
If you have a previously been treated with a permanent injectable implant.
If you have suffered from keloid scars
Scleroderma
Epilepsy
Dermal filler must not be administered to patient with:
• Ascertained tendency to develop hypertrophic or keloid scars or pigmentation disorders
• Previous active autoimmune diseases or those under immunotherapy
• Serious multiple allergies or active inflammations
• Coagulation disorders
• Acknowledged hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
One Week Prior to Injections
· Avoid blood thinning over-the-counter medications such as aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, and Aleve.
· Avoid supplements, including St. John’s Wort, Gingko biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E.
2 Days Prior to Injections
· Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, or any “anti-aging” products.
· Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or using hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
Do start taking Arnica two days prior to the procedure. (This is not required, but it will help to lessen bruising.)
24 Hours Prior to Injections
· Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior.
Vigorous exercise, sun exposure, sun beds, sauna should be avoided for 48 hours. If, having had treatment, you are at all concerned about symptoms you were not expecting or not happy with, please contact the practitioner for advice. If necessary an appointment will be made for you to be seen.
Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium
Botulinum. In a purified form, as is the case with many drugs/medications such as Penicillin,
Botulinum toxin is a very safe, effective treatment not only used in cosmetic clinics, but also for a
number of medical conditions, including migraine and excessive sweating.
The toxin blocks the transition of chemical messages sent from the nerve to cause the muscle to contract. Without these messages, the muscle stays in a resting state until the ‘messengers’ recover. This recovery takes approximately 8 to 12 weeks on average. The aim of this treatment is to significantly reduce the movement of the muscles causing expression lines (dynamic lines). It may not cause the expression lines themselves to disappear completely, this will depend upon the quality of your skin and may take time over a course of treatments.
· Frown lines
· Worry lines
· Crows feet
· Lip lines
· Lower face treatment to improve jawline and appearance of neck, known as ‘Nephertite lift’.
· Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
A very fine needle is used and generally this treatment is not painful and can be well tolerated with
no anaesthetic. Ice may be helpful in numbing the skin for nervous patients as well as reducing
the risk of a bruise.
Results tend to last 3-4 months. Movement will begin recovering from 8 weeks. Frequent treatment at intervals of less than 3 months is NOT recommended.
After treatment it is expected that you will start to see an improvement within 2 or 3 days. The full result may be judged at 2-3 weeks. You may be invited to attend a review appointment at 2-3 weeks where the success of the treatment may be assessed and adjustments to your personal treatment plan made, if necessary. You will be advised to keep the target muscles active for a few hours and to avoid extremes of heat or cold, vigorous exercise, lying down or leaning over for 4-6 hours.
Scleroderma
Epilepsy
Avoid aspirin or alcohol before and after the treatment
Do not apply makeup for the rest of the day
The minimum time before come back for a repeat treatment is 12 weeks
The treatment takes 7-14 days to take effect
